I know some lesbians who actually read these kind of books, because they were the only things being written about them. I'd like to say the world has changed but almost every lesbian couple on TV and in film seems doomed in some way.

It'd be really nice if you could show the summaries on the backs of these things as well. I like seeing the books (where the hell do you find these, anyway?), but it'd be cool to know more about them.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I wrote my honors thesis on lesbian pulp fiction. It was an English thesis, and, in its final form, dealt with only four novels, but by the time I figured out the final form the project would take, I'd already done a good deal of research and read a whole lot of tawdry lesbian paperbacks. I am working on getting a web page up with more information about the books and resources for accessing them. In the meantime, Kyra, I will try to post a blurb or back cover to accompany each image, but my materials are kind of disorganized now-- I have this big old folder full of image files seperate from any information I have about them. I hope I'll have the pulp page (http://www.hissycat.com/pulp) up within a month or two.
